Leadership Competencies for the Next Generation of Healthcare Executives

Competency requirements for the next generation healthcare leader will be notably different from those of the traditional hospital or health system administrator. And leadership positions will lead change through influence without necessarily controlling operations. Hospital administrators will be refocused on managing cost centers according to protocols and standards set by others, not on shaping strategy and developing programs. This presentation touches base on the leaders of the future and the direction they are headed.
